The Witcher season two is plenty of scares in store for fans if this teaser from the script is anything to go by.
Filming on the Netflix fantasy series recently resumed with Henry Cavill back in the starring role of Geralt.
A page from the season two script was shared by Netflix on Twitter, hinting at the arrival of a new scary (and hungry) monster.
Set in an abandoned mountain village, it sees a merchant looking for a place to stay the night with his wife and daughter.
They are suddenly attacked and his wife vanishes leaving their daughter Kira ‘covered in blood’.
As he runs to help Kira he is snatched away by the mysterious creature and pulled into the darkness leaving her alone.
Terrified she runs towards a mansion overlooking the village for help, but is she just running into more danger?
What’s also interesting are Geralt’s words as the scenes play out.
He says: ‘You dogged my every footstep. But struck down others I passed on my way. Why?
‘I was meant to end up alone, wasn’t I? So I would finally begin to be afraid.’
Only the one page was revealed so you have to watch the new season to see how it unfolds.
A further tweet posted by Netflix read: ‘Happy #Witchmas! these next few days, we’ll be sharing a few of the unclaimed gifts with you. if you’re impatient for presents, I don’t blame you. we’ve also hidden gifts in the Basement Lab.’
A link leading fans to an interactive map was also shared, so viewers can scout for more goodies over the festive period.
