The fifth season of This Is Us is about to get a whole lot more dramatic, if cast member Justin Hartley is to be believed.
The actor, who plays Kevin Pearson on the romantic drama, says the show is about to throw a game-changing spanner in the works, which will affect everyone.
Speaking to TV Line, Justin said that viewers should be on the lookout for ‘stressful’ development on the NBC show.
He said: ‘There’s going to be a moment of great significance that happens that will change the course of everyone’s relationship with everyone else.
‘I mean, I’m trying to think of someone who’s not affected by it. Randall, Kate, Kevin for sure, Mom, Miguel, even. He does have some cool stuff coming up. Jack is about the only one it doesn’t affect — because he’s dead.’
While Justin didn’t give much away in terms of context, he added that it is ‘a stressful, pressure-filled moment, and it’s a moment of reflection and heroes and family.’
It comes after This Is Us producers held their hands up to a mistake that fans spotted in a recent episode during season 5.
In the November episode, which aired before the NBC drama’s winter break, teenage Kate Pearson (Hannah Zeile) took a pregnancy test that turned out to be positive. However, eagle-eyed viewers noticed that Kate was actually holding a box that read ovulation test on the packaging.
This Is Us continues Tuesdays on NBC in the US, while it is available to stream on Amazon Prime in the UK.
