According to rumors, This Morning host Dan Hatfield has been set up to replace David Dickinson on Dickinson’s Real Deal if he decides to retire.
Dickinson’s rumoured resignation made news earlier this week, but a representative for the actor has stated that he has no intentions to leave anytime soon.
According to MailOnline, Hatfield, 39, who is known as the Money Saving Expert on ITV’s This Morning, is interested in filling the role when it becomes vacant.
The television celebrity and third-generation pawnbroker has been in the antique industry for nearly two decades and has assisted a number of affluent clientele, including Saudi Arabia’s King.
The news of Hatfield’s alleged new job comes after it was reported on Thursday that Dickinson planned to leave the programme after completing filming for a next series in order to spend more time with his family.

‘The current series of Dickinson’s Real Deal is in development and filming throughout spring and summer,’ ITV confirmed in response to the reports.
‘No decisions have been made on future series beyond that.’
Meanwhile, Dickinson’s representative stated, ‘David has no intentions to retire from Dickinson’s Real Deal, a show he still very much enjoys producing and is looking forward to working on the forthcoming season later this month.’
Dickinson, 81, has hosted the daily auction show Dickinson’s Real Deal since 2006.
The antique dealer has been known over the years for his use of the phrase “real bobby dazzler,” which refers to a gem of an item.
