This Morning’s Alison Hammond urged Dermot O’Leary to ‘get back’ as he seemed to forget social distancing rules on the show today.
The former Big Brother star, who took over the ITV daytime programme for the day, was forced to call out her co-star to keep away from her as they prepared to start a new segment.
It all kicked off when X Factor host Dermot reached over towards Alison as he marvelled at the show’s camera trickery which makes it seem as though they’re sat side by side when really, they’re two meters apart.
‘Is this both our first experience of we’re further away than we look?’ he asked.
‘It’s amazing, isn’t it,’ remarked Alison. ‘It’s so clever.’
Dermot then proceeded to reach his arm over towards where Alison was sat, prompting her to shout: ‘Get back! Get back! Get back! Stay in your zone, babe, stay in your zone.’
This isn’t the first time This Morning presenters have seemed to momentarily forget about social distancing as Holly Willoughby accidentally flouted rules while carrying out a science experiment.
As it stands, the Government advises to stay two metres apart from people you do not live with where possible, or one metre with extra precautions in place such as wearing a facemask or increasing ventilation indoors.
Today’s This Morning saw Alison serve as a guest editor, meaning she not only helped with directing but also gave orders to the gallery throughout the episode.
She was also joined by guest Maureen, who returned with yet another brilliantly blunt remark just days after telling the BBC she: ‘doesn’t give a sod’ when it comes to lockdown measures.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
