This Morning’s Dr Scott Miller forced to apologise for ‘incessant’ laughing fit as he throws show into chaos

This Morning’s Dr Scott Miller has given Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield a run for their money, giving into a massive laughing fit on the show.

The vet, who appeared on the show to chat to callers about problems with their pets, dissolved into a fit of giggles as one viewer, Debbie, asked about her beloved hamster.

Handing over to Dr Scott, Alison Hammond seemed puzzled, saying: ‘Erm, Dr Scott – I know you’re maybe finding this a little bit hilarious but can you help this hamster?

‘I’m so sorry, I really like hamsters!’ he insisted. ‘Sorry, very unprofessional.’

‘Pull yourself together!’ Alison urged.

Dr Scott couldn’t hold it together as the question continued, clearly struggling as he advised the hamster may be a little bored and that the viewer should play with it as much as possible.

Presenters Alison and Rochelle Humes were baffled, with the former Saturdays star admitting: ‘I’ve never seen you lose it like that!’

Managing to compose himself, Dr Scott said: ‘Apologies everyone for my incessant laughing about hamsters.’

‘Ah the wheels have fallen off!’ Alison joked, as she said the trio would ‘have a breather’ over the break.

Elsewhere on the show, Alison in particular was thrilled to report that Abba have reunited after almost 40 years, with the band back for their new album Abba Voyage.

She and Rochelle chatted to superfan Andrew Boardman, who spent £50,000 on his collection of merchandise and memorabilia.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
