This Morning’s luxury hotel segment descends into chaos with ear-splitting building work: ‘It’s falling apart’

This Morning’s competition segment descended into chaos on today’s episode, when it was hit by ear-splitting building works.

Trooper Josie Gibson was excited to show off the five-star treatment at the luxury Langham Hotel, but it sounded less than glamorous when nearby builders got on with their work.

Ah, the trials of live TV.

Hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary were left in stitches as they tried to figure out what was going on.

‘What’s that noise?!’ Alison asked, with Dermot joking: ‘That’s next week’s challenge!’

‘Shes joking, it’s not really that glamorous – it’s falling apart,’ Alison laughed. ‘There’s the drill!’

‘The boys are like, “Is she finished? Great, get back to work lads!”’ Dermot added.

It’s not the first time Josie’s segment has been struck by disaster, with the presenter being bitten by a ‘stress-relieving’ pig while chatting to Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford from a Amersham farm.

That’s not to mention the time when she lost it on the world’s fastest zip wire.

‘I’m going to faint here, I’m going to faint,’ she said, before asking to be checked over one more time. ‘Can everyone just check me again because I’m precious cargo?’

It was touch and go for a little while, with Josie shouting that she didn’t want to go through with the zip wire, just moments before she was released and sped off into the canyon.

As she screamed her way through the 55-second-long zip wire, Josie’s face was a picture while Rochelle Humes and Dermot O’Leary struggled to compose themselves in the studio, as they cracked up at Josie speeding away.

Oh Josie.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
