Tommy Lee is said to be impressed over the ‘cool’ upcoming series about his salacious relationship with ex-wife Pamela Anderson.
The highly-anticipated Hulu show Pam & Tommy stars Lily James as Pamela, while Sebastian Stan will play Tommy. The limited special will follow the pair at the peak of their fame, with them marrying less than a week after their first meeting in 1995.
The Motley Crue drummer, 59, told his friend Guerin Swing all about the dark comedy, which also features Seth Rogen, Nick Offerman and Taylor Schilling.
Speaking to The Sun, Guerin said the heavy metal enthusiast is ‘stoked’ that a wild moment has been turned into a miniseries.
‘Let everyone know we did it first. Before the Kardashians, before anyone else. Let the mother-f***ers know, we broke the internet first.’
The programe will also explore the theft and circulation of the infamous sex tape they made during their honeymoon, which sent shockwaves around Hollywood.
‘It’s essentially them just being kids, goofing with a video camera, a new toy,’ Guerin added.
‘Tommy never showed me or anyone the video. He never talked bad about Pam. It wasn’t for anyone else to see.’
The rock and roll performer may be excited about watching the drama, but his former flame, on the other hand, wasn’t so thrilled about the news of its arrival.
A friend of The Baywatch star explained that Pamela had no interest in seeing the eight-parter before she branded it a ‘cheap knockoff’.
Tommy and Pamela were married for three years and share two sons together – Brandon Thomas, born in 1996, and Dylan Jagger, born in 1997.
After filming their sexual activities on a videotape during their honeymoon, the tape was stolen from their home and distributed online.
Disney Plus has announced that the first three episodes will premiere and be available to stream for subscribers on Wednesday, February 2 in the UK.
