ITV is launching gripping new thriller Too Close that will play out across this week that looks to be a tense watch, anchored by two commanding performances from its leading ladies Emily Watson and Denise Gough.
Too Close focuses on the dangerous relationship between forensic psychiatrist Dr Emma Robertson (Watson) and a Connie Mortensen (Gough) a woman accused of a horrific crime but claims she can’t remember anything.
Lines are blurred as Emma continues to work with Denise and the pair become closer than they should be.
As her subject reveals insight into Emma’s deepest insecurities their sessions descend into a psychological game.
It looks like it will be in a similar vein to the broadcaster’s previous psychological thrillers Cheat and more recently The Sister, so if that was your cup of tea – tune in.
It all kicks off tonight on ITV – here’s what else you need to know about it.
