Top Gear’s Paddy McGuinness is really having a tough time of it if the new series is anything to go by, with new scenes showing him failing spectacularly at trying to water ski.
In an exclusive clip shared with Metro.co.uk, the boys use their hire cars as water ski tow ropes, with Paddy bravely taking to the merky waters.
As he takes position, a confident Chris Harris comments to Freddie: ‘You know what’s going to happen here don’t you? He’s going to get up first time and smash it.’
But Chris could not be more wrong.
Paddy struggles to stand up and after nosediving into the water, he announces: ‘Lads, I think I’ve got to go with Plan B.’
‘What was Plan A?’ a confused Chris asks.
‘I don’t know,’ Paddy responds. ‘I know one thing, I’ve definitely got gastroenteritis.’
Tonight’s episode is all about celebrating the joy of rental cars and sees the presenters head off on a fly-drive holiday to the island of Cyprus, home to the cheapest hire cars in Europe.
Given just 30 Euros to hire a car for the weekend, they embark on a series of unnecessarily destructive challenges, including a sweaty dash through oncoming traffic and racing down a ski slope.
They also embark on a quest to find the ultimate, money-no-object family car, with Paddy backing the Lamborghini Urus SUV and Chris, an Audi RS6 estate.
To settle the argument, Paddy and Chris report to the Top Gear test track to find out which is fastest on the Top Gear school run, and which can tow a caravan the quickest.
Top Gear airs tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
