Celebrity Big Brother star Heavy D has reportedly died at the age of 47.
The star – real name Colin Newell – is said to have died at some point this week, with his friend, actor Nick Nevern, breaking the news on Twitter.
He wrote: ‘I’m very shocked & saddened to hear of the passing of my friend @HeavyHeavyd
‘u lived ur life the way u wanted to & f**k anyone who didn’t like it! U always brought a smile to my face bro & lifted any room you where in.’
AFTV also paid their condolences to the life-long Arsenal fan, and wrote: ‘We are shocked to hear the sad news that Heavy D has passed away today. Our condolences go to his family at this very sad time. #RIPHeavyD’
Heavy D, who referred to himself as ‘The Boominator’ first found fame on Storage Hunters, and became known for his larger than life personality.
In 2016, he joined Celebrity Big Brother, where he appeared alongside Stephen Bear, Renee Graziano and Marnie Simpson.
During his time on the show, he got into a number of vicious clashes with Lewis Bloor, with a debate over who was at fault soon erupting between fans.
He also clashed with Katie Waissell for trashing the house, and became the fourth star eliminated from the series that year.
Since then he has turned himself into a boxing pundit, making regular appearances at fan events.

However, by 2017 he had found himself in trouble after trashing his rented London home, and appeared on Judge Rinder the following year to have the £12,000 of overdue payments and damages thrown out.
In 2018, he announced he was applying for Love Island to ‘get stuck in’ following the end of his engagement.
His cause of death is not yet known.
