Alyssa Milano has launched a desperate appeal in response to brutal mocking of her kid on social media.
The 51-year-old actress has a 12-year-old son Milo and a nine-year-old daughter Elizabella, whom she shares with husband David Bugliari.
She is most known for her roles as Samantha Micelli in Who’s the Boss?, Jennifer Mancini in Melrose Place, and Phoebe Halliwell in Charmed. She has over 3.6 million Instagram followers and 3.4 million on X.
The celebrity recently had to step in when her eldest son approached X to beg for help fundraising for his baseball team’s trip to Los Angeles.
In response, he was instantly confronted with charges from a user who said that because his mother is a wealthy, they should ‘not’ seek assistance from other parents.
A screenshot from X shared to Instagram on Thursday (February 1) read: ‘Hey thank you for helping abandoned dogs out!! I hope your mother who has a net worth of 10 million dollars donated to the shelter???? ALSO knowing she has this money she should not be asking middle income people from society to donate to a baseball team. It’s beyond ridiculous and selfish of her. Talk to your mom. [sic]’

Milo responded: ‘You do realize I’m only 12 and I love my mom. My mom is the greatest human of all time. She does everything for everyone. [sic]’
In her own response to the remarks, Alyssa stated that she was ‘no different’ than any other parent.
She noted that, despite her seeming affluence, she couldn’t afford to pay for the full squad, no matter how much she wanted to.
‘Every parent raises money for their child’s sports teams and many of them do so through GoFundMe. I am no different,’ she argued.
‘As much as I’d love to pay for the entire team and their families for travel, transportation, hotel, food and beverage, uniforms, trading pins and all the things teams do for this kind of trip – I can not afford to do so. Maybe someday.’
The TV star added: ‘Also, if I did pay for everyone – my trolls would find something else to be hurtful about. Regardless of how you feel about me, going on to my hardworking 12 year old son’s Instagram page and leaving these kinds of messages is so horrid.’
‘Leave the kids alone,’ she begged.
Alyssa’s fans have varying opinions on the subject.
‘Regardless of her net worth she is teaching her kids life skills including hard work and responsibility. Also if she did pay for everything then people would be crying that she’s spoiling her son and not teaching him to be independent’, argued Instagram user ray.maraj.
‘How awful to harass a child like this! Says far more about them than what they are saying about you. Sad days that people think they can do this’, agreed scoozie_r.
Fellow actor Alec Baldwin – who is a dad to seven kids – commented: ‘It never ends…’
However, not everyone was on the same wavelength.
‘How can you afford a $200,000 car but not a little league baseball trip ?’, blasted rattlehead72.
Indeed, Alyssa, a New York native, was photographed earlier this week driving her $200,000 (£158,226) electric Porsche Taycan with son Milo in tow, only days after he posted a contribution request online.
The mother and son duo were seen driving to the pet store in a vehicle which, according to DailyMail.com, is custom.
According to the publication, the British Racing Green paint job cost $14,000 (£11k).
Alyssa’s Porsche appears to have replaced her Tesla, which she sold in 2022 in ‘protest’ of Elon Musk’s X policies.
She said at the time: ‘I gave back my Tesla. I bought the VW ev. I love it. I’m not sure how advertisers can buy space on Twitter. Publicly traded company’s products being pushed in alignment with hate and white supremacy doesn’t seem to be a winning business model.’
