Jon Cryer of Two and a Half Men has reconnected with his co-star on the picket line, and he looks very different these days.
The 58-year-old actor has joined the US union Sag-Aftra strike for a variety of reasons, including a lack of fair compensation for actors and a desire for certainty concerning the advent of AI and its possible exploitation of an actor’s likeness.
It comes in the midst of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike, which began in May when the union and the trade organisation Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) were unable to reach an agreement on salary.
Jon, who portrayed Alan Harper in the hit comedy from 2003 to 2015, ran across an old friend at the Los Angeles protest: his former coworker April Bowlby.
April, who played his second wife Kandi shared a snap with the caption: ‘Together again.
‘#sagaftra #sagaftrastrike #sagaftrastrong@mrjoncryer @sagaftra @wgastrikeunite.’
‘Alan and Kandi reunited many years later to BRING DOWN THE CORPORATE FATCATS!’ wrote Jon on Twitter.

The unexpected reunion delighted fans. One person wrote: ‘Why don’t Alan and Kandi have their own sitcom?? Come on ppl let’s get the ball rolling!’
‘Kandi and Alan together again 😍. Love it!,’ added another person.
Another fan added: ‘While I truly believe it was you that made 2 and 1/2 men so funny, I have to say (IMO), the episodes with Kandi were some of the funniest!’

Kandi first appeared on the sitcom in season three as Charlie Harper’s (Charlie Sheen) lover, before moving on to his brother Alan.
After Alan won the prize, the couple married in Las Vegas, but they divorced in season four, and Kandi went on to become a wealthy and renowned TV celebrity.
Jon co-starred in Two and a Half Men for eight seasons with Charlie, 56, until being replaced as the show’s lead by Ashton Kutcher, 44, in 2011. His grown-up son Jake Harper was played by Angus T. Jones.
