Vanessa Feltz likened Prince Harry and Prince William’s physical altercation to a typical family Christmas, saying it appears more’serious’ than it is.
The Duke of Sussex has stated that he was involved in a smash up with the future King after he labelled his wife Meghan Markle‘difficult’, ‘rude’, and ‘abrasive’, according to a leaked excerpt from his upcoming memoir Spare.
Prince Harry has stated the dispute escalated and William ‘grabbed me by the collar, ripped my necklace, and … knocked me to the floor’.
Vanessa appeared to dismiss the charges on This Morning, equating them to any other family.
‘Am I the only person who thinks that all of this is so skewed and weird, because we’re talking now about fisty-cuffs, violent altercations, William grabs Harry and rips off his necklace, Harry breaks the dog bowl, serious, serious,’ Vanessa began.

She continued: ‘But think back to everyone’s Christmas! As soon as you go back home to your family, you start to behave like you do when you were 12, six, and three, you know you do.
‘Everybody reverts back to childhood. How many people – I’m not saying got into a really deep punch up and violently attack relatives – but who didn’t just [hit] your sister over the Christmas, or grab a present and give a bit of a kick.’
‘But how many people put it in a book?’ This Morning guest Camilla Tominey questioned, to which Vanessa replied: ‘That’s what I mean! What I’m saying is the fact that it’s in the book, and the fact that it’s got all of this very serious attention all over the world and will continue to get it, don’t you think it makes it seem serious when really it’s the kind of thing that in most families you wouldn’t even remember!’
She added: ‘You wouldn’t say in ten years, “Remember that time you pushed me,” come off it!’
The Guardian disclosed details of Prince Harry’s violent feud with Prince William, claiming the ‘amazing moment’ is ‘one of several in Spare,’ which will be released on January 10.
Despite’stringent pre-launch protection around the book,’ the newspaper was able to get a copy.
It goes on to add that, according to Harry, his elder brother wanted to talk about “the whole rolling catastrophe” of their relationship and their troubles with the press.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
