Vick Hope has made it clear that she has no tolerance for anyone who criticise her clothing choices, following the labelling of a ‘inappropriate’ dress she wore while anchoring Morning Live.
This week, the BBC Radio 1 DJ and TV presenter has been helping to host the breakfast show, but she has come under criticism for wearing an outfit that has riled up a few people.
Vick, 33, wore a high-necked, long-sleeve little dress on Tuesday’s event, but others thought it was too short.
Several spectators turned to social media during the show’s telecast to express their thoughts.
‘I love this show but can someone please tell your female presenter today to wear a midi dress!,’ one woman posted on the BBC Twitter page.
‘It is really inappropriate to be wearing a mini dress whilst sitting presenting this show. Putting me off my breakfast!
‘Please tell the female presenter to wear longer skirts!! It’s not the first time!’ another added.

Vick took the criticism on the chin, responding with a sequence of emojis depicting a happy and sobbing face, but was berated again by the first individual.
‘I wish to complain about the inappropriate mini dress worn by Vick Hope on Morning Live today. She should wear a longer dress if sitting presenting! Her response to my complaint was insulting,’ she added.
Not willing to let the shaming slide, Vick again replied, writing: ‘They’re just legs. And at the top of them is a vagina.’

She later posted a selfie on Instagram, which she captioned: ‘Doing the radio from Manchester this week. Howling at your responses to my short dress Karen’s, you legends.’
Many individuals came out in support of Vick, with many leaving humorous remarks to confront the trolls.
‘Hi BBC I would like to complain about this dress also. It is too long. I can’t eat my breakfast unless I see more leg. Also please have your male presenter in shorts,’ one person posted.
‘Hi BBC, I’d like to complain that I’ll never have legs like Vick and damn I wish I did!’ someone else wrote.
Another added: ‘This response is everything! 100% applaud it. When will people stop sexualising’s everything? It’s a dress. They’re legs. YOU WILL DAMN WELL WEAR WHAT YOU WANT.’
Vick previously stated that she makes a concerted effort to avoid social media.
‘I don’t go on Twitter. Every so often I’ll go on Twitter, maybe once every three weeks, and I’ll open it up and it’s just the most deranged place in the world,’ she said.
‘Everyone is so angry so I’ll just close it and then I won’t go on it for another three weeks. I’ll go on to Retweet some work things and then leave it be.’
She added that there was a ‘misconception’ that people in the public eye all had ‘some sort of presence online and that it’s your life’, but it wasn’t the case for her.
BBC Morning Live airs weekdays from 9:15am on BBC One.
