Dawn French got a little hot under the collar on tonight’s Walk The Line as she got carried away flirting with a contestant.
The third episode of Simon Cowell’s new singing competition aired on Tuesday night with Maya Jama returning as host and Alesha Dixon, Gary Barlow and Craig David on the judging panel as contestants battle it out to win £500,000.
However, it was fellow judge Dawn who got swept away with the heat of the competition after Daniel Arieleno’s performance.
The Londoner, who hails from Peckham, belted out a big number choosing Bruno Mars’ hit single Walked Out Of Heaven.
Providing comedic relief, a blushing Dawn said in her review: ‘I think you were referring to me when you said, “Your sex takes me to paradise”.’
She added cheekily: ‘And honestly, for that Daniel, I have to apologise, I didnt realise my sex was on show here.’
Unfortunately for Dawn, Daniel was ousted out of the competition later in the episode after losing out to reigning champion Ella Rothwell and band Raynes.
Ella has sailed through the series since performing in the first episode. She has turned down the chance to ‘cash out’ of the competition on all three nights, instead ‘walking the line’ through to the next round.
The concept of Cowell’s new singing competition has confused viewers since its launch on Sunday.
It sees solo musicians and groups battle it out to win the grand prize of £500k. The top two performers of the evening will face a decision to either ‘cash out’ and take a prize, or ‘walk the line’ and play on.
The longer the performers stay in the contest, the bigger the prize pot, and each night the reigning champion will be offered an even higher cashout prize.
During the first episode, Ella won the most votes from the live studio audience and those watching virtually. She had the option to ‘cash out’ with £10k or ‘walk the line’ through to the next episode where she’d compete against four new challengers.
Ella, who hails from Bristol, decided to ‘walk the line’ in hopes of claiming the overall prize.
During Wednesday’s episode, the aspiring singer again took her chances against Raynes despite £30k being on, ahem, the line, but she made the right decision as she won the audience vote sending her through to the next round and closer to the prize money.
Ella will face four new contestants on Wednesday night when Walk The Line returns to ITV at 8pm.
