Walk The Line: When is the final?

It’s sooner than you think Picture: ITV)

Walk The Line is the latest talent series that has had viewers tuning in daily for the past week, but when does it end?

Hosted by Maya Jama, the Simon Cowell-produced show sees a number of talented contestants battle it out to win the £500k prize money with judges Gary Barlow, Alesha Dixon, Craig David, and Dawn French critiquing their performance.

The top two performers of the evening will face a decision to either ‘cash out’ and take a prize, or ‘walk the line’ and play on.

The longer the performers stay in the contest, the bigger the prize pot, and each night the reigning champion will be offered an even higher cashout prize.

And as the grand final looms, here’s everything you need to know.

The Walk The Line final will air Friday December 17 at 8.30pm, but with it being the last episode it is set to run until 9.45pm.

The six-episode series has been on every night since it made its debut on Sunday December 12.

So far we’ve seen a number of contestants battle it out for the half a million-pound prize, from hit drag vocal group Queenz to Bristol-based singer Ella Rothwell.

And who can forget Dawn shooting her shot with Daniel Arieleno after he performed Bruno Mars’ number one hit Locked Out Of Heaven.

‘I think you were referring to me when you said, “Your sex takes me to paradise”.’ Classic Dawn.

Who is favourite to win Walk The Line?

It looked like Ella would be the one to make it all the way to the end, after her original song wowed the judges in episode one, however, viewers were shocked as she decided to ‘cash out’ of the competition with £40,000.

It comes after viewers complained that it appeared the show’s concept had been set up in favour of Ella, who had the upper-hand in the previous episodes.

However, she met her match on Wednesday with Nadiah Adu-Gyiamfi leaving the audience mesmerised with her performance of Desiree’s classic ballad Kissing You.

Reacting to the shocking twist, one viewer tweeted: ‘Win win. I have loved watching Ella each night I could not bear her going home with nothing. And I loved Nadiah tonight too another singer I am really moved by and really want to hear more from.’

But there’s still time, which means a lot can happen, will Nadiah be crowned the winner?

We’ll have to wait and see.

What prize will the winner receive on Walk The Line?

As we’ve previously mentioned there’s big money up for grabs, with the winner becoming £500,000 richer.

Speaking to ITV about the new show, creator Simon revealed he was ‘thrilled’ to develop a show that offers contestants a ‘life-changing cash prize.’

Judge Craig – who’s also a British singer, DJ, and record producer – commented on the ‘innovative’ and ‘edgy’ style of the talent show, which he said was the reason he was ‘so excited to join the panel.

‘I’m really vibed by the quality of the contestants I’ve seen so far and love that they have the chance to bet on themselves every step of the way,’ he said.

We only have one episode left, but will Nadiah ‘cash out’ or will another contestant ‘walk the line’ straight to the final?

All will be revealed soon.

Walk The Line continues on Thursday at 8pm on ITV.
