Wandavision star teases fans are in for ‘quite a ride’ after episode 3’s twist ending

WandaVision on Disney Plus is already proving to be one of the weirdest, mind-bending series Marvel has had to offer so far – and the stars are promising it’s only going to get weirder from here on out.

Episode three, titled Now In Colour, saw Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision’s (Paul Bettany) sitcom-style world heading into what appeared to be the 70s, with the pair suddenly pregnant and having twins within the space of 25 minutes.

But things took a dark turn at the end of the episode, with nosey neighbour Agnes (Kathryn Hahn) revealing to Vision that Wanda’s new bff Geraldine didn’t have a home in the town of Westview… so where had she come from?

Meanwhile, Wanda had a confrontation with Geraldine of her own, throwing her completely out of the universe into what appeared to be ‘our’ reality.

Seemingly, Geraldine knows more than she should, bringing up Wanda’s brother Pietro dying at the hands of Ultron, which is very not squeaky-clean fantasy land talk.

Teyonah Parris, who plays Geraldine, has now warned things are about to get real weird from here – as if they weren’t already.

‘Watching all of that unravel, and then come together later in the series, is going to be quite a ride,’ she told TVLine. ‘And I hope that you all tune in and ride this thing with us, because it will be well worth it.

‘I know there are so many questions in the first couple of episodes, and just no answers, but we will get to it, I promise.’

Geraldine – who is not the person Wanda and Vision think she is – was thrown into a base camp just outside the Westview world after her run-in with the Scarlet Witch superhero.

Being picked up by the military, her future remained uncertain. But given her connection to the wider cinematic universe, this won’t be the last we see of Geraldine (or should we say, Monica…?)

WandaVision airs Fridays on Disney Plus.
