Keeping Up With The Kardashians is officially coming to an end, with the season 20 finale airing in the US tonight. Sob!
After commenting on the antics of the family for multiple years, Nori’s Black Book creator Natalie Franklin knows everything there is to know about the Kardashian klan.
With the world waiting to see what happens next for the most influential family in reality TV, Natalie shares her predictions with Metro.co.uk as she muses about what we might see Kim, Kris and the rest of the gang get up to now the show is over.
Natalie believes Kim Kardashian will become even more of a force to be reckoned with thanks to her legal aspirations, but she reckons the star needs to team up officially with momager Kris on a new venture.
She explained: ‘I think Kim is going to take this time to really rebrand. She been doing things the same way ever since she came on the scene, but now with the lawyer aspirations and prison reform projects, I think she is trying to be of service to the world which is great.
‘I would love to see her doing more speaking engagement because she has a lot of knowledge to offer. Even if you don’t agree with her methods or like her as a celebrity, you have to respect her as a business person.’
Natalie continued: ‘She has so much to say about being in the spotlight and handling all the ridicule and judgment that comes with that- especially as a woman. She can teach so much about what you can do in spite of all that. Kris can tag team with her in that field because they know all about how to build a brand and how to keep people interested in it.
‘Speaking engagements would be easy money too so it’s not even like they would have to do much for that.’
As for her next relationship, Natalie can’t tell who Kimmy will go for now she’s split from Kanye but she’s excited to find out.
As followers of Nori’s Black Book might already know, Natalie isn’t the biggest fan of Kourtney’s wellness brand Poosh.
She explained: ‘Honestly, I think Kourtney is so much better than Poosh. I get it, none of us want to work so I can’t fault her for taking on something simple. But she has such a good eye for design. It’s where Kourtney and Khloe both have a leg up on Kim because they actually have a more tangible skill.
‘If Kourtney decided to become an interior designer or go into designing household items, she could easily make a lot with that. She could be like Victoria Beckham and do it a high price point. A luxury home line.’
Natalie continued: ‘But she wants to go Poosh instead right now as it gives her time to look after the kids. Maybe down the line when they are older, she can move into interior design.’
As for Kourtney’s flourishing relationship with Travis Barker, Natalie quipped: ‘Barker Wellness and Poosh collab coming soon [laughs]. Kourtney and Travis seem really into each other.
‘But she’s such a commitment-phobe after watching her parents split up so I don’t know she would even move in with Travis or anything like that.’
Natalie is ready to see Khloe move on from Tristan Thompson and build herself a mommy lifestyle brand like The Honest Company.
The social media star stated: ‘Khloe Money… and her Good American jeans. The jeans are actually amazing. Khloe is another one with hidden skill because she’s super organized and there’s just something she can do within that organizing realm business-wise.
‘If any of them should have a lifestyle and child-focused brand then it should be Khloe. I can imagine her having a brand similar to Jessica Alba’s Honest Company because she has always been the most motherly and organized one.’
She continued: ‘Her whole brand could be “How to be a hot mom”. If she has another baby she should totally put out a baby book like that. Or even to talk about the realities of surrogacy as we just saw how she’s been struggling with that lately.’
When it comes to her love life, Natalie added: ‘I think Khloe will eventually get tired of Tristan Thompson. I don’t think he’s a bad person but he seems to have a little maturity issue. A bit like Scott did in those early seasons.
‘I just don’t think you should be in a relationship when you seem to have commitment issues now. This isn’t the lifestyle for you right now and he has a bit more growing up to do.’
She continued: ‘I’m not sure Khloe needs to wait for him to do it. She should date and be happy and maybe they’ll come back to each other later.’
The Instagram star claims Kylie’s youth means the world is her oyster when it comes to taking on new challenges in business – though she doesn’t think Kylie Baby is the best move.
Natalie explained: ‘Kylie launching a baby range isn’t something I think will work well because traditionally moms don’t like to be told what to do or use from young moms. Especially one that’s a billionaire.
‘She should maybe focus more on designing kids’ clothing and stuff like that. But a mommy book wouldn’t really be the place to go with that. I don’t say that to take away from her experience as a mom but it will be harder to get customers of a certain age.’
She continued: ‘It’s hard to predict what’s next for Kylie because she’s so young but she’s also been a star her whole life and she’s done and achieved so much already. She needs to just live more of life to know what else she actually wants to do. She’s a real wildcard.’
Natalie says Kendall will continue to try and make clever business moves so she can slowly step back from modelling.
The writer explained: ‘Kendall’s been making a lot of interesting business moves lately. It’s hard to know what she’ll do next because she’s been so focused on her privacy and doesn’t reveal much on the show. Obviously, she’ll stick with modeling for now though she has expressed her anxiety about that work.
‘She previously tried photography so maybe she’ll that. And now she’s got the tequila company that can make her a lot of money…. I guess she’ll keep dating Devin Booker and eventually have a baby with a baller or something.’
Keeping Up With The Kardashians airs on E! in the US and available to stream on hayu in the UK.
