What time is Celebrity Best Home Cook on and who is in the line-up?

Following the previous two series of Best Home Cook, 10 well-known individuals are taking part in the celebrity version of the show, Celebrity Best Home Cook.

The contestants will strive to impress judges Mary Berry, Chris Bavin and Angela Hartnett while Claudia Winkleman presents, all the while attempting to prove to viewers at home that there’s more to them than meets the eye.

While there are many people who may feel proud of the homecooking skills, it’s an entirely different game when your culinary skills are being scrutinised by a panel of expert judges.

So what time is Celebrity Best Home Cook on and who is in the line-up?

What time is Celebrity Best Home Cook on?

After that, the third and fourth episode will be shown on BBC One next Tuesday February 2 and Wednesday February 3 respectively.

There will be eight episodes in total, the same as the previous two series of Best Home Cook.

Who is in the line-up?

The line-up for Celebrity Best Home Cook boasts a variety of famous faces, from a retired politician to a reality star.

But the question we all want to know is – can they cook?

Those taking part in the competition include Welsh former professional rugby player Gareth Thomas, CBBC presenter Karim Zeroual, sister of Prime Minister Boris Johnson and journalist Rachel Johnson and reality TV star Ferne McCann.

Also joining them is former Labour MP Ed Balls, reality star Tom Read Wilson, actors Ruth Madeley and Shobna Gulati and comedians Desiree Burch and Ed Byrne.

What challenges will the cooks be set?

Just as with Best Home Cook, each episode will feature the competitors taking part in three different challenges set for them by the judges.

These include ‘The Ultimate’, set by Mary, ‘The Rustle Up’, set by Chris, and ‘The Eliminator’, set by Angela.

In the first episode of the new series, Mary challenges the contestants to concoct their ultimate home-cooked dinner, with final dishes ranging from macaroni cheese to spicy curries.

The Rustle Up challenge will see the celebrities attempt to create a dish in just one hour using a surprise ingredient.

Only the contestants at risk of leaving the competition will participate in the Eliminator, which the judges will assess with no idea which person cooked what.

At the end of the episode, one celebrity will be eliminated from the competition, with nine remaining to cook another day.

Celebrity Best Home Cook airs tonight and tomorrow at 9pm on BBC One.
