Britain’s Got Talent has been thrilling, entertaining, and making us cry in equal measure, and the show’s 2023 season is well underway.
From Amanda Holden being carried into the air by a sword-swallower to Simon Cowell becoming the victim of a gunging at the hands of Mr Blobby, the series has brought us it all.
There have also been some fantastic Golden Buzzer acts in recent weeks, with new judge Bruno Tonioli even going so far as to press the button twice – despite the fact that each panellist is only supposed to send one performer straight through to the live events.
With a seat at the Royal Variety Performance and a £250,000 cash prize on the line – with auditions coming to a finish – it won’t be long until we move on to the series’ key live semi-final round.
But when will the semi-finals take place?
When could the Britain’s Got Talent semi-finals start?
Although the series airs on Saturday nights, the final is frequently shown on Sundays; for example, last year’s final, in which comedian Axel Blake was proclaimed champion, aired on Sunday, June 5.
We’ve got some hints that the live performances would begin on Monday, May 29 – Applause Store, which distributes audience tickets for TV shows, is selling them for BGT for the week of May 29-June 2, all but confirming that the semi-finals will take place that week.
If you want to be in the audience, you may find out more information on their website. However, at the time of writing, only tickets for the event on Friday, June 2 remained.
Coronation Street’s schedule for the next week has also been altered to accommodate BGT, as it frequently does during the week of the live events.
Viewers will be able to tune in for a busy week in Weatherfield, which will see acid attacker Justin’s trial as well as Gemma Winter’s (Dolly-Rose Campbell) wedding to Chesney Brown (Sam Aston).
Britain’s Got Talent continues on Saturday on ITV at 8pm.
