When does RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 2 start?

The wait is finally over as season two of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK will be hitting our screens next month.

The first episode for the hotly anticipated series will begin on January 14, and to be honest, we are so ready for it.

The show took to its official Twitter account to announce the exciting news.

‘Santa called and said you can have one present early,’ they tweeted.

#’The first episode of #DragRaceUK series two lands on @BBCiplayer on January 14th at 7PM.’

Production for season two unexpectedly screeched to a halt back in March thanks to the coronavirus pandemic.

However, all is right with the world because Ru will be back and she will be joined by judges Michelle Visage, Alan Carr and Graham Norton once again.

And if that’s not enough, there will be a host of celebrity guest judges to help her whittle down the 12 queens.

The cast of the new season has not yet been revealed, nor has the roster of guest judges.

Series one of the show aired last year, and saw Scouse queen The Vivienne crowned winner, beating Davina DiCampo and Baga Chipz to the title.

And it was a hot ticket, as guest judges included Geri Horner, Jade Thirlwall and Cheryl all took part.

Will there be a RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 3?

In a simple answer, Drag Race has been renewed for season three.

In a letter also posted to social media earlier this month, RuPaul stated: ‘Looking forward to better days! I’m happy to announce the triumphant return of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.

‘Early in 2021, season 2 will arrive with all the hope, joy, laughter and glitter you’ve come to expect from our brilliant queens.

‘We’re also currently casting season 3 with the best and the brightest Great Britain has to offer.

‘We feel honoured that you’ve embraced our little show, and our only wish is that we can offer a smile at a time when we can all use it the most.’

If you think you are brimming with Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve and Talent – then you can apply for season three now.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK begins on January 14 at 7pm on BBC iPlayer.
