When does Sheridan Smith’s Pooch Perfect start on BBC One?

Pooch Perfect is about to deliver some paw-some weeknight entertainment for animal lovers with a grooming competition dedicated to man’s best friend.

January is a typically dreary month and we could do with some brightening up and what better way than looking at some very good boys and girls.

If programmes like The Great British Bake Off and The Great British Sewing Bee have put you in the mood for something similar, you won’t go wrong with the BBC’s new series.

The 16 professional dog groomers will have their skills put to the test each week, under the watchful eye of pros Colin Taylor, Verity Hardcastle, and vet Bolu Eso.

Also along for the ride is presenter and dog lover Sheridan Smith – and her canine co-host Stanley) who has to try and resist wanting to take every dog home with her (she has six already).

Here’s what you need to know about the show that will have tails wagging.
