Unsolved Mysteries, the show from the late 80s and 90s that has been given the Netflix reboot treatment, is returning for a second series on the streaming service.

Netflix released Unsolved Mysteries Volume 1 in July to rave reviews, with viewers intrigued and drawn in to the world of unsolved crimes and disappearance cases.

Now Unsolved Mysteries Volume 2 is dropping on Netflix this month, solving the problem of watch to watch over the next few weeks (if you can make the new episodes last that long).

When does Unsolved Mysteries drop on Netflix?

The new series of Unsolved Mysteries, named Unsolved Mysteries Volume 2, is now available to stream on Netflix in the UK along with the whole of Volume 1, too.

The new series features six new unsolved cases, ranging from a former White House aide whose body was discovered in a landfill to a Death Row Fugitive who escape in 1973 and is still thought to be at large.

Were any of the season 1 Unsolved Mysteries solved?

To date it is thought that Unsolved Mysteries has helped solve over 260 cold cases since the show first aired in 1987.

Although many of these are from the original show, since the Netflix reboot first hit the streaming platform it is reported that the police have been given over 2,000 tips related to the cases featured in Volume 1.

One case, named House of Terror in Volume 1, has been solved. It involves the disappearance of an affluent family in Nantes, France. The whereabouts of the father, and suspected killer, Count Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès is still unknown, however.

Although the case of Alonzo Brooks’ in No Ride Home has still not be solved, the case has been reopened by police in America as a result of questions raised by the Netflix reboot.

Unsolved Mysteries Volume 2 is available to stream on Netflix in the UK now.
