The Walking Dead will finally return for six bonus episodes after coronavirus postponed the finale of season 10 last year.
A new trailer for the six bonus episodes has been released too, signalling an epic end for the brilliant season.
After coronavirus cancelled the finale of season 10 last year, fans were worried they would have to be patient to see a conclusion.
But the team behind the show have announced that six bonus episodes will be available to watch very soon.
It will be an anthology-style ending to the season, that will take a deep-dive into a handful of survivors’ lives following the war with Beta (Ryan Hurst).
The show has kept viewers on their toes about Maggie (Lauren Cohan), as she re-enters ahead of season eleven – and she is confirmed as one of the focuses of the six episodes.
So, when exactly do the six bonus episodes of The Walking Dead air?
When is The Walking Dead season 10 finale?
The Walking Dead season 10 finale – filmed over six episodes – will return on March 1 in the UK.
Fans were disappointed to learn last year that due the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, post-production of the season finale had been postponed.
Whilst filming for the final episode had been completed, the extensive editing, sound mixing and VFX work was not able to be finalised and ready for The Walking Dead’s typical Sunday night slot.
Last year, the episode The Tower effectively functioned as a sort of mini-finale for the season, while fans waited for the finale to be ready for air.
When the show does return, viewers can expect the series to finally address the fate of fan-favourite Maggie, who was last seen during the ninth season, where she left to join another community of survivors after the supposed death of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln).
Will there be another series?
AMC confirmed back in October there will be an eleventh season, but they have not yet confirmed an official air date.
Previously, it was expected to begin its release in October 2020 before the current delay.
The Walking Dead will return to FOX UK on March 1. Seasons 1 – 10 are available on NOW TV and Sky On Demand.
