Holly Willoughby was absent from This Morning today, leaving fans concerned about her whereabouts.
The 40-year-old presenter usually hosts the ITV daytime show alongside Phillip Schofield on Mondays through until Thursdays, with Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary taking over the programme on Fridays.
However, Holly was nowhere to be seen on Monday’s edition and Rochelle Humes stepped in as her replacement.
It comes after she took an extra week off in April to work on her secret project, which was later revealed to be her first book.
Why is Holly Willoughby not on This Morning today?
Phil was on hand to explain why Holly was missing from today’s episode of This Morning.
At the beginning of the programme, he was joined by Rochelle as he revealed that his colleague wouldn’t be on the show.

‘I should say also it’s a Bank Holiday, so Holly is with the kids so Rochelle is in today,’ Phil said.
He then added: ‘You [Rochelle] decided to leave yours!’
Bursting into laughter, Rochelle replied: ‘I know! I don’t know about Holly – she’s a better mum than I am!’
Holly was last absent from This Morning at the end of last month as she took an extended Easter break to work on a ‘secret project’, her book.
Sharing details of her book last week, Holly said she wants her fans to use it as a spark of inspiration for everything from makeup tips to sexuality.
‘Writing is such a personal process and between these pages you will find many little pieces of me,’ Holly penned.
‘The book is called Reflections and is essentially thoughts and musings from me on inner and outer beauty.’
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
