The Love Island 2021 cast is being announced today, one week ahead of the launch of the new series.

Shannon Singh is the latest to be announced, joining PE teacher Hugo Hammond and beauty pageant winner Sharon Gaffka in the line up.

As last year’s show was delayed because of coronavirus, there’s a lot of excitement around the new series and of course, in all the hopeful singletons looking for love.

But who exactly is Shannon Singh?

Who is Shannon Singh from Love Island?

Shannon Singh is a 22-year-old model from Fife.

The multi-talented cast member also creates content on her Instagram account and livestreams games from Twitch.

Her Instagram handle is @shannonsinghhh – which is also the name she goes by on Twitch.

While her Instagram feed is filled with her modelling shots, you can catch her playing Call of Duty on Twitch.

Speaking about her decision to join the show, she said ‘It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. If you’re lucky enough to participate in the show, why would you not?

She also said she’s ‘hopefully [going to] meet an exciting hunk.’

Shannon is keen to stress that it isn’t all about looks, however.

‘I don’t feed off looks, I feed off energy, I need someone with personality. Just someone I can have fun with.’

‘If he’s a handsome hunk but it’s like talking to a brick wall and I’d rather watch paint dry, it’s not going to be great.’

A self-proclaimed ‘party girl’, Shannon said she loves going out and socialising.

Her career started as a glamour model for agency Atmosphere Faces at 18, which she describes as her ‘glory days’.

‘I loved those days, I’ve got nothing to be ashamed of.’

Laura Whitmore is returning to host the series after joining the show for its previous winter series, while her husband Iain Stirling will narrate.

Love Island launches Monday 28 June at 9pm on ITV2.
