Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? viewers were once again left screaming at the telly after a question about Tiger King left one contestant stumped.
Craig appeared on Sunday night’s episode to try and win the £1m jackpot but stumbled at a TV-related hurdle.
Tiger King explored the strange underworld of big cat breeding and gripped the world when it was released on Netflix last year.
He was presented with the question: ‘What is the subject of the 2020 Netflix documentary series in which Joe Exotic clashes with Carole Baskin?’
The options were ‘American big cat community’, ‘Failed luxury music festival’, ‘Cambridge Analytica data hack’ and ‘New York drag queens’.
Viewers at this point were likely yelling ‘A’ at their screens, but Craig confessed he wasn’t sure and used his Fifty Fifty lifeline to remove two wrong answers, in the hope that it might help.
Both the ‘Failed luxury music festival’ and the ‘New York drag queens’ were taken away, but he was no closer to getting the answer.
He then decided to phone a friend to see if they knew which option was right however they didn’t have a clue either.
After that Craig turned to host Jeremy Clarkson using his Ask The Host lifeline in the process.
Luckily Jeremy had seen the docuseries, telling Craig he was ‘gripped’ by the story of ‘lunatics’ who raise big cats.
A now confident Craig chose option A – ‘American big cat community’ – and was able to continue.
The contestant was relieved but viewers were still stunned he had to use three lifelines to answer the question.
However others made the point that not everyone would have had time to binge watch TV show during the pandemic last year, and there are in fact people out there who haven’t watched it.
In the end Craig didn’t do too badly, going home with £32,000 in his pocket.
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? continues Sunday at 8pm on ITV.
