Good Morning Britain will be missing its leading anchors this week with Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid taking some time off.
The presenting duo – jokingly dubbed Pouty and Shouty by viewers – will be replaced by their fellow co-stars for the time being.
Piers confirmed that he will be off from the series all half-term week, telling an online troll to relax after they scathed they didn’t want him ranting about Meghan Markle‘s second pregnancy.
Hitting back, he simply wrote: ‘Relax Janine, I’m off for a week.’
They will be back in action on February 22.
Who will be presenting GMB this week?
Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard will be stepping in to fill in for Piers and Susanna for the time being.
They will be joined across the next few days by Adil Ray and Charlotte Hawkins.
Dr Hillary Jones will also be taking some time off from his slot as the show’s resident medical expert, with Dr Sarah Jarvis or Dr Amir Khan stepping in.
Kate has recently been missing from the line-up as she continues to take care of husband Derek Draper, who has been in hospital after contracting coronavirus in March 2019.
Speaking about her own health, she said: ‘I’ve taken some time off. They were very kind here on ITV and gave me some time off.
‘I hadn’t been feeling very well. I think it was one of those things where the chickens came home to roost after a long year.
‘I took some holiday leave at home, I know holidays are controversial, literally within the four walls of my home, had a lot of sleep, bit of medicine and I am feeling much better thank you.’
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
