Why isn’t the Jeremy Vine Show on Channel 5 today – when is it back?

The Jeremy Vine Show on Channel 5 has been a staple throughout the year, with Jeremy Vine and Storm Huntley bringing us lively debates on the latest headlines.

However, from the 23rd December, the programme will no longer be on air.

So where has it gone and when will it be back on television?

We’ve got all the details.

Why isn’t the Jeremy Vine Show on Channel 5 today – when is it back?

The Jeremy Vine Show aired its final episode of the year on Tuesday 22nd December, 2020.

Presenters Jeremy and Storm announced at the end of the show that they would be taking a break for the festive period.

‘What a strange 12 months it’s been,’ Storm told viewers. ‘A very, very difficult year for many people and that’s why it’s been so important to hear from you, so thank you from all of the team here for all of your calls and all of your messages.’

Jeremy continued: ‘It feels like the whole country has got a hangover it doesn’t deserve. I know your Christmas may be difficult, it may be sad, you’ve looked forward to it all year, and suddenly the virus swept your plans away.

‘But on the positive side, the cavalry is coming. The vaccine is around the corner and if you’re there, we’re here.

‘We can’t thank you enough for being part of our year, for calling us to talk things over, or maybe to just explode at the way everything is going.

‘We got through this year because of you and we hope you will let us help you through 2021.’

The Jeremy Vine Show will return on Monday 4th of January at its usual time of 9.15am.
