WWE’s Hulk Hogan ditches iconic look in rare out of character photo for Wild Samoans

This is how we’re used to Hogan looking… (Picture: WWE)

Hulk Hogan’s iconic WWE style is the stuff of pop culture legend – so it’s always a little strange seeing him out of character.

From the famous bandanna, occasional feather boa and trademark facial hair to his typical red and yellow colour scheme, hearing his name conjures up a certain image.

However, the Hulkster – whose real name is Terry Bollea – gave everyone a peak behind the scenes this week as he tweeted a rare out of character photo from earlier in his career.

Swapping his memorable tights for dark jeans and a Los Angeles Dodgers t-shirt, Hulk also showed off relatively long blonde hair in the snap, completing the look with a pair of shades as he posed with the Wild Samoans.

Flashing the thumbs up for the camera, the former world champion was still carrying his handlebar moustache – we’re not sure we’d be able to cope otherwise.

Referring to the trio as classic wrestling villains, he wrote: ‘Old school heels.’

Afa and Sika – who recently appeared at WWE Hell In A Cell to recognise Roman Reigns as the Tribal Chief and storyline head of their family – were similarly dressed down for the occasion, with everyone smiling for the camera.

The Twitter post comes after Hogan caused a stir with his social media followers last month, after a few weeks offline.

He shared a beautiful sunset photo with his 2.2 million Twitter followers on Friday evening, and he asked God for ‘one more day’.

He wrote alongside the stunning snap: ‘Thank you God, could I please have one more day! One love thank you Jesus. HH (sic)’

The post was Hogan’s first since a pretty cryptic tweet on September 30, when he simply asked: ‘Sleep?’

The morning after the sunset snap, he added: ‘God thank you for today it’s more beautiful than yesterday HH (sic)’
