Days after it was rumoured that the series was coming to an end, Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan was charged with having a “god complex” on the show’s set.
The neo-Western drama, which debuted in 2018, stars Kevin Costner as patriarch John Dutton III and follows the Dutton family, proprietors of the largest ranch in Montana.
However, with five seasons and rumours of conflict on site, it seems unlikely that there will be another.
Sheridan, 52, and Costner, 68, are rumoured to have had disagreements at times, with the former being held responsible for conflicts amongst the cast and crew.
A source has now provided further information regarding what is reportedly taking place behind closed doors.
‘Certain people in charge of the production developed a God complex,’ they told the Daily Mail.

Additionally, the insider claimed that Costner was upset because his worries regarding the future of the series were not taken seriously.
Despite the fact that he also serves as the series’ executive producer, Costner supposedly ignored them and urged him to “stick to acting.” Sheridan.
‘Kevin will forever be proud of and grateful for Yellowstone and the cast is like family to him,’ the source added.
‘He just felt like Yellowstone is headed in a direction that was not in line with their initial vision and he was met with criticism, including that he should just stick to acting.’

The claims follow impending ambiguity around the start date of filming for the second half of the most recent season, which is running in two parts.
Season five’s first eight episodes debuted in the second part of last year.
The New York Post claimed earlier this week that there had been “friction” between the two, but added that it was “the same as with any showrunner and a big star—there’s respect, but there’s friction.”
Taylor is the star of his programme, according to another insider, who said there was an ego problem on set. He is the focal point of each of his programmes.
They continued, though, by expressing their faith that the problems would be rectified since “it’s too big a show for things not to be worked out.”
Costner earned a Golden Globe this year for best actor for his performance in the series, but Santa Barbara floods prevented him from collecting the honour in person.
He expressed regret for being unable to attend in a video on Instagram before the occasion.
Yellowstone features two spin-offs, 1883 and 1923, with Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford in the latter.
Yellowstone is streaming on Paramount Plus.
