You has already released a teaser trailer ahead of season three but now fans have been given a further look at what’s to come in the super shady Netflix show as Joe Goldberg becomes a father…
It’s clear the third season of the hit show is set to be pretty damn terrifying, with the main plot line revolving around the fact Penn Badgley’s Joe will be become a dad for the first time.
But Friday’s extended trailer shows that he is about to go to the darkest places yet as he soon forms an infatuation with someone new.
‘In my history of scared, this is the most scared I have ever been,’ Joe claims, with it cutting to a shot of his adorable newborn son.
Viewers were told back in the ominous teaser clip the pair would be welcoming a son named Henry, with the narration over the trailer clearly directed to his baby boy.
‘I’ve always believed in the one… for you,’ Joe says in the latest clip. ‘I’d move to some soulless suburb, for you I’d marry the monster… your mother, Love (Victoria Pedretti) – what could go wrong?’
But somehow it doesn’t seem likely Joe is being entirely truthful as he reminds Love they’re the ‘nice normal neighbours next door.’
Joe’s up to his usual tricks again, with his suspicious baseball cap on as his attention turns to another potential victim in the neighbourhood.
Love is seen becoming concerned, noting her partner has become ‘distracted’ before informing him: ‘I think we need to go to couple’s therapy.’
Before long, the new dad is taping up a body bag and it’s all chaos from there, with a grisly end definitely on the cards for at least one character.
‘Neither one of you is going to kill your spouse. You’re many things but you’re not murderers,’ their counsellor tells them… if only she knew.
Fans quickly responded to the clip, with one writing: ‘This season looks to be the craziest yet.’
Another joked: ‘Nothing guilty about the pleasure I take watching this toxic couple.’
‘Love is insane, even more so than Joe. I can’t wait for this show to come back,’ commented a third.
It looks as unhinged as ever, and we can’t wait.
You season 3 comes to Netflix on October 15.
