The New Girl cast has come together for a good cause as they posted up a hilarious skit about voting.

Zooey Deschanel, Lamorne Morris, Jake Johnson and other stars appear in the playful skit which sees ‘the people’s warrior’ Fawn Moscato (Zoe Lister-Jones) encouraging people to vote.

In the Instagram Reels video, the fictional Los Angeles council member is joined by Jess (Deschanel), Nick (Johnson) and Winston (Morris) to show voters how to cast their votes.

Jones’s Moscato begins, ‘America, you need to get out and vote’, before Nick and Winston explain that viewers they can get out their vote early and by mail.

Jess then jumps in to remind everyone that they have to use black or blue ink.

‘That’s red and you’re embarrassing me,’ Moscato barks at Nick while he uses a red pen to fill out his ballot.

The trio then informs viewers to sign their ballots so that their signatures match to those on their government documents and ID’s (so best not to include a heart when you dot the i).

And at the end of it all, Moscato throws in one endorsement that definitely isn’t on the ballot as she says: ‘And last, vote Moscato.’

‘This is not what we agreed to,’ Jess responds.

And scene!

Zooey posted the clip on Instagram with the caption: ‘This message has been approved by Fawn Moscato. VOTE!! & vote early! @lamorne @mrjakejohnson @zoelisterjones @darylwein.’

The short clip comes after Lamorne Morris revealed he would be up for a reboot of the hit sitcom.
