Adele hints release of new album 30 is imminent with social media overhaul

Adele has teased that new music is around the corner by changing the layout across all her social media, sending fans into overdrive.

Speculation of a new era has been rife over the past few days, with mysterious billboards and projections of the number 30 popping up all over the world, with many convinced it’s linked to an upcoming album.

Now, Adele has updated her Instagram and Twitter with her new profile picture resembling a bluey grey hue.

The same display background appears on her official website too, where fans can ‘sign up’ to the star’s newsletter.

The 33-year-old singer has named all her albums after ages in her life so far, 19, 21 and 25, and 30 would mark the end of her six-year hiatus.

Fans are convinced Adele’s social media move is a sign that new music is on the horizon, with one person writing: ‘ADELE IS BACK is really happening.’

‘Her album is OFFICIALLY FINISHED. ADELE IS COMING,’ another added.

Echoing a similar sentiment, a third screamed: ‘ADELE IS REALLY BACK. THIS IS NOT A DRILL ANYMORE. BRACE YOURSELVES.’

In recent weeks, it’s been reported that Adele is planning a Christmas charts comeback via a November album release and an internationally streamed Las Vegas show.

A Canadian radio presenter also posted a now-deleted tweet that read ‘New Adele. This week’.

Projections and billboards of ‘30’ have popped up in London, New York, Paris, Berlin, Dublin, Cardiff, Rome, and beyond, with fans eagerly sharing their photos alongside #Adele30.
