Billie Eilish says fans don’t know the real her: ‘People think they know everything about me but they literally don’t at all’

Billie Eilish has said she doesn’t feel her fans know the real her.

The Bad Guy hitmaker has revealed that her highly-anticipated next album, Happier Than Ever, will give people more of an insight into her life.

‘Anytime I see an impression on the internet, it just reminds me how little the internet knows about me,’ she explained.

The 19-year-old added to VEVO: ‘Like, I really don’t share s**t. I have such a loud personality that makes people feel like they know everything about me and they literally don’t at all.’

She added that the main takeaways from the album should be: ‘That I can sing. That I’m a woman. That I have a personality.’

Billie has skyrocketed to fame over the past few years, with fans incredibly hyped for her upcoming release, which is set to drop on July 30.

She previously said she hopes the new album empowers her fans, putting it in no uncertain terms.

‘I hope people break up with their boyfriends because of it. And I hope they don’t get taken advantage of,’ she told Rolling Stone magazine.

Although Billie is set to give fans more of a look into her life, she recently opened up about feeling embarrassed of her past.

The singer appeared to address the recent controversy she faced after clips of her mouthing a racial slur in a song and appearing to put on a mock Asian accent surfaced from years ago. She has apologised for the video.

She told Vogue Australia: ‘It’s really weird how the world can see every aspect of your life and reminisce about [it]. It’s so weird.

‘The internet brings up things from everybody’s past and I’m like: “Don’t you guys understand that everybody is incredibly embarrassed and ashamed about their past? Like, do you not think about the fact that maybe you’re embarrassed of your past, so maybe everybody else is embarrassed, too?”’

Happier Than Ever is released on July 30.
