Jamie Oliver Teaches Oprah How to Make Singapore-Style Fried Rice With Whatever She Has at Home

Oprah Winfrey and Jamie Oliver teamed up (virtually) this week to cook Singapore-style fried rice while in quarantine in the UK and the US. The pair started the Instagram Live video by discussing the ongoing COVID-19 crisis and how they’re coping in their respective countries. But they quickly moved to the topic of food, and specifically, how they wanted to prove that you really can cook a delicious, and healthy, meal with whatever ingredients you already have in your kitchen.

Jamie arrived with as much enthusiasm as he’s known for (that’s to say, a lot), while Oprah delivered her usual charm with a raised eyebrow and plenty of good humour. As Jamie started to list the ingredients he would be putting into his stir fry, it became clear that Oprah had, well, basically none of the same ingredients – so they made the same meal with whatever they had, and the result looked delicious.

Oprah seemed more shocked than anyone with how well her own dish came out! You can watch the full video ahead, and try to cook along with them.
