Lil Yachty Sued for Assault & Battery After Rolling Loud Incident

Jimmy Quivac is suing Lil Yachty for allegedly sucker punching him outside the 2019 Rolling Loud music festival in Los Angeles and continuing to beat him while he lay motionless on the ground. Quivac is suing Lil Yachty, real name Miles McCollum, for assault and battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress, according to the seven page lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County.

Quivac says he was walking alone on his way to Rolling Loud at The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum at around 9 p.m. last December. When he tried to get through a crowd near the entrance, he says someone yelled at him for bumping into them and into Lil Yachty. He claims that as he tried to walk away, the group yelled at and someone shoved him. Next, Quivac says, Lil Yachty punched him and he fell to the ground.

“As Mr. Quivac is laying on the ground motionless, Lil Yachty and others in the group continue to strike him, stomp him, and kick him,” Quivac’s attorney, Bianca Perez of Douglas/Hicks Law, wrote in the complaint.

Quivac says he was unable to get up and run away and suffered injuries to his wrist, hand and arm. He also claims he now suffers from “severe emotional distress.” He is seeking damages for his injuries was well as for past and future loss of earnings.

Lil Yachty has not responded to Billboard’s request for comment.
