Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater’s relationship has been fraught with controversy since rumours of their romance first surfaced – and the singer’s fans are now thoroughly rinsing her new beau over his recent snap.
In it, the 31-year-old actor is dressed as, er, a baby, as part of a carousel of photos promoting his new Broadway show, Spamalot.
In the final image, he is seen looking up at the camera while wearing a huge baby bonnet, bib, and clutching a huge milk bottle while sitting in an adult-sized pram with a blanket covering his legs.
Fans were unnerved by the image, which we hope (and suspect) has something to do with the play…
Referring to the snap in question, one fan simply commented: ‘Not that last pic.’
While Ethan appears to have limited comments on Instagram, fans were left cringing as the pram image did the rounds on X, formerly Twitter, with one simply branding it ‘so weird’.
‘This is who Ariana was willing to risk it all for?’ asked one fan, somewhat brutally, while another wrote: ‘Ariana… sweetie.’
Another said: ‘I wish i never laid my eyes on this.’
Someone else chimed in: ‘I wish I could go back 10 seconds ago when I didn’t know this photo existed.’ Ouch.
While some came to Ethan’s defense and pointed out, ‘He’s in character for a role in a play…’ this didn’t stop people being weirded out by the image.
‘I know it’s for a role but this is too much I am sorry but he is a grown man?’ said another.
Spamalot, an adaptation of Monty Python’s 1975 musical, premiered yesterday, and the Side To Side hitmaker, 30, was mobbed by fans as she entered St. James Theatre.
Two years after the former couple married, the American singer recently finalised her divorce from husband Dalton Gomez, 28.
Ethan and Ariana met on the set of her upcoming film Wicked, sparking a romance that appears to be going strong.
Ethan filed for divorce from his wife Lilly Jay, with whom he has a one-year-old son, shortly after meeting Ariana while filming.
Lilly Jay slammed Ariana earlier this year in an explosive interview with Page Six, calling her “not a girl’s girl” and saying her family is “collateral damage.”
Ariana and Dalton divorced in February 2023, according to details revealed last month.
Both parties have also agreed not to write any tell-all or confessional books about their marriage.
‘Ethan informed his friends and soon-to-be ex-wife that he’s living with Ariana full-time in New York,’ a source tells Us Weekly.
‘They’re really happy and really good for each other. All of her friends love him.’
