Britney Spears will be the surprise guest on Sir Elton John’s headline Glastonbury gig on Sunday.
The 76-year-old Piano Man hitmaker’s spouse, David Furnish, recently disclosed that he will be joined by not one, but four guests for a’special’ show.
The most popular theory at the moment is that Britney Spears, 41, would join Sir Elton on stage for the huge Sunday night performance.
While fans were concerned when Britney tweeted a vacation photo with her husband Sam Ashgari that was nowhere near the beautiful Somerset hills, the singer has been dropping some pretty big hints since.
Britney recently delivered the most brilliant – and we mean brilliant – hint that she could be visiting Worthy Farm soon.
Posting some artwork of a MacDonald’s filet-o-fish sandwich and chips, the icon wrote, ‘GBGBGB.’ in the caption.
On first inspection, it could be any old burger – perhaps chicken – from the fast food chain, which is actually American.
It would have been easy to brush this off as a quirky post over a love of MacDonald’s…
But, investigative work showed that when linking through to the Instagram account Britney credits it to – @notre.arte – they describe the painting as the staple fish sandwich.
The original post read: ‘Oil painting of McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish with Strawberry Shake and chips by @noahverrier.’
Alongside the very happy meal sits some roses – and is there anything more typically English than a rose?
And, don’t be too impressed, but is there anything more British summertime than strawberries?
We are in overdrive right now. It simply must be happening, people.
This comes just after Britney took to Instagram with yet another cryptic post of a triangle, which could be a big nod to the famous Pyramid Stage where Sir Elton will be performing the set.
The photo looked to be about ‘third eye’ spiritual awakenings, but we believe the form choice may have something to do with it.
Furthermore, Britney turned to Instagram on Thursday night to upload a cryptic image with three Union Jacks alongside a shot of a red apple that looked to be cut in the style of England’s St. George’s flag.
If this does not happen, we will… We don’t know, but we’ll be surprised.
Sir Elton and his, um, pals will take the stage in what is expected to be his final live performance in the United Kingdom.
With the star’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour completed, all eyes are on his main event, which is expected to be “extraordinary.”
So far, we know the star is going to be playing some of his greatest hits for the moment, with Sir Elton having described planning the set as like ‘having sex’.
‘When you put a setlist together, I always say it’s a bit like having sex,’ he said.
‘You start off really well, then you chill out a little bit, then towards the end of the show all hell breaks loose.’
Well, we’re in for a treat then.
