Britney Spears has assured fans that she is alright, following rumours earlier this week that her husband and management were plotting an intervention.
The 41-year-old Toxic singer was released from her contentious conservatorship last year after 13 years, reclaiming control of her own life.
Britney has duetted with Sir Elton John and married lover Sam Asghari in the year following her release, but she has also had dark periods, such as being furious when she was recorded while out at a restaurant.
Fans have expressed worry for Britney’s well-being and mental health, in part owing to the bizarre statements she makes on social media, even summoning police to her home after she deactivated her Instagram account.
This week, Britney made an angry statement after insiders told TMZ and People that her inner circle, including her husband and manager, were organising an intervention that was abandoned last minute, with one source stating they were terrified Britney had grown so unpredictable she may ‘die’.
Brit reacted on Instagram on Friday, saying, ‘It makes me sick to my stomach that it’s even acceptable for people to make up tales about how I almost died…’ I mean, there comes a moment when enough is enough!!!’
Now, the actress has responded to the allegations with a video proving she is ‘happy and well.’

Britney Spears uploaded a rare video of herself speaking to the camera, saying, “I didn’t die, folks. I’ve arrived. I’m still alive. I’m still alive and healthy.’
She went on to show off a fur coat she was wearing, smirking as she stated she was ‘feeling myself,’ and added: ‘I am here.
‘I’m happy and I am well. And that’s it.’
She added in a caption alongside the clip: ‘This week in the news it said that I almost died and that I have a manager and “doctors” !!!
‘I don’t have a management team nor will I ever again in my life !!! I don’t have “medical doctors” !!!’ I take Prozac for depression and that’s about it !!!’
She added that she was an ‘extremely boring person,’ saying she waas frustrated by the reports as it was ‘worse than a cruel joke because people actually believe this stuff.’
The 41-year-old said, “all of my efforts in getting healthier with my tiny regimen of prayer and treatment seems to count for nothing when others can say things that are absolutely incorrect!!!”
It comes after a source informed TMZ that Britney’s husband, manager, team, and physicians planned to take her to a rented property for an intervention in order to persuade her that she needed treatment.
According to the source, Britney was supposed to remain in the leased property for up to two months while getting treatment, including counselling, but the intervention was cancelled at the last minute because she became’somewhat aware’ of what was going on.
Her husband Sam informed Access Hollywood that an intervention did not take place.
‘My wife is in full control of her life and will continue to make all decisions involving her care regardless of circumstances. Speculation on her health is inappropriate and should end immediately.’
