Britney Spears has been reflecting on the day that she, er, wed herself in a recent interview.
After meeting in 2016 when Sam participated in one of Britney’s music videos, the two officially tied the knot on June 9, 2018, making Britney’s age 41 the bride and Sam Asghari’s age 28 the groom.
The wedding itself was quite small, but the after party was packed with celebrities, including the likes of Paris Hilton, Madonna, Selena Gomez, and many others. The ceremony itself was quite small.
Even while the bride and groom did reject tradition in some areas, such as not having a first dance or someone to take Britney down the aisle, in order to make the day their own, the entire event was undeniably like something out of a fairytale.
However, the singer who is most known for the popular song Toxic has recently hinted that another kind of ceremony took place, in which she made a pledge to herself.
The singer shared a photo from her past that showed her looking absolutely lovely in a white flowing gown and a veil. She appeared to be dressed appropriately to make her way down the aisle.

Britney also wore very dark eye make-up and also didn’t appear to be wearing any rings.
‘Again the day I married myself!!!! Just a different shot 😏😏😏😏😏😏🙈🙈🙈🙈💕💕💕💕’, she captioned the snap.
Brit has previously posted a number of photographs from the day in question, and she has mentioned in the past that the stunning veil was once owned by her great great grandmother.
She said that she had married herself because she was “bored” toward the end of the previous year, but she assured everyone that she still had a passionate relationship with her husband.
‘Yeah … I married myself 👰🏼♀️ !!! I got bored, liked my veil and said IS THIS CRAZY ??? OR IS THERE SOMETHING TO IT 🤔🤔🤔 ??? Psss yes but I’m still married to hubby too 💍💍💍 😂😂😂 !!!’, she wrote on Instagram.
Doubling down on her statement, her next post was a picture from her actual wedding, showing her and new husband Sam kissing.
‘The man I married 😍 !!! I’m so blessed !!!’, she exclaimed.
Britney has since disabled the comment section on her Instagram postings. This decision was made because, despite the fact that her supporters like showering her with praise, many of them have expressed ‘fear’ that there may be something more sinister occurring behind the scenes.
Sam, however, has refuted such reports, stating more recently that he does not have any influence over her.
When asked about the speculation that Britney wasn’t running her own social media by TMZ, Sam replied: ‘I don’t even control what we have for dinner.’
He continued: ‘In the past, there has been a lot of stuff going on so I understand where [some fans are] coming from. They’re just being protective. If anything they’re being good fans.’
The ‘stuff’ of course, refers to Britney’s 13-year conservatorship, from which she was freed in November 2021.
Britney’s father Jamie previously managed Britney’s well-being and financial affairs along with a bank, but the mother-of-two told a court that the conservatorship was ‘abusive’, leading to her freedom.
