Britney Spears has raised concerns after stating she no longer understands English.
The 42-year-old pop diva was liberated from conservatorship in 2021, regaining control of her money and personal life.
Britney’s life has been a rollercoaster since then, from marriage and divorce to having a hit song with Sir Elton John and raising eyebrows with naked Instagram photographs.
Fans have expressed worry for the Toxic singer following a lengthy new Instagram post in which she stated she has changed her name to ‘Xila’ and has been difficult to comprehend English since.
In the meandering post, she describes a journey to the beach and alleges she was denied permission to operate a boat despite the fact that ‘they used to let me drive it before’.
She then added: ‘Since I changed my name to Xila I actually am having a hard time understanding English.’
She moved on quickly to speak about a dress she owns and how she likes to have dinner by herself at night, before praising a certain hairspray she uses.
Britney’s new admission has caused concern among fans on Instagram and X, with user Delta Queen writing ‘this poor young girl.’

Britney has previously alarmed fans by frequently dancing with knives in Instagram videos broadcast immediately after her breakup from Sam Asghari.
While she later clarified that the blades were props, anxious fans contacted police, who conducted a welfare check on the performer.
They found she was not in danger, prompting Britney to respond on social media, calling it ‘a joke’.
