Chloe Madeley shortened her maternity leave short after giving birth to her first child in order to return to work.
In August, the 35-year-old daughter of Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan gave birth to her first child with husband James Haskell, a girl called Bodhi.
Despite the fact that James, 37, is a successful former rugby union player and I’m A Celebrity… Chloe, the Get Me Out of Here! star, isn’t exactly flush with cash and doesn’t have a joint bank account with her husband since she likes to pay her own way.
However, this meant that she had to terminate her maternity leave early and return to work as a personal fitness trainer eight weeks after Bodhi was born.
‘James obviously makes a great income and he’s my partner and that’s fantastic, but we don’t have a joint account,’ Chloe explained.
She continued to The Mirror: ‘We’ve always had separate accounts and I think that’s a bit of a pride thing with me. Next time, if I get pregnant again, I’m absolutely not doing it. I will swallow my pride, I will jump in on James’ account and take at least six months.’

Chloe hasn’t eased into the pattern either, since she sees customers seven days a week. However, she does confess that coming back to work so soon after delivering a kid has been ‘pretty intense’.
Chloe’s finances aren’t the only issue she’s had since becoming a mother; she also stated she’s having difficulty being intimate with James, whom she married in 2018.
‘Getting back into the rhythm of a nice healthy sex life has been pretty challenging, and I can’t figure out if it’s me, if it’s him, or if it’s both of us,’ she stated on the Made By Mamas podcast.
‘I’m going to say it’s the latter – it’s both of us.’
‘I just feel like I’m not really in a very sexual headspace now. I hope it comes back.
‘I don’t really think he is either. Hopefully it will go back to normal.’
