Romeo Beckham has officially turned 21 years old. Allow it to settle in if you recall him being born. Doesn’t it hurt a little?
David Beckham’s son, the footballer, celebrated his milestone birthday on Friday, and dad David made us all feel old with a heartfelt Instagram message.
David shared a slideshow of his kid through the years, donning a LA Galaxy jersey, diving off a boat, and scoring a goal for Inter Miami.
David said in the caption: ‘Happy 21st to my little man. Dad is so proud of the person you have become – kind, generous, and passionate about what you love.’
He then told Romeo to “keep being you and dream big,” before kissing and tagging every member of the Beckham family.
Romeo, who currently plays for Brentford’s reserve side in the Premier League, reacted to his father’s love homage with a string of heart emoji.
An Instagram user claiming to be his old babysitter from Manchester also wished him a happy birthday in the comments.
‘Happy Birthday Romeo! I remember looking after you in Alderley, while your brother was on the trampoline and your mum was upstairs getting ready.’
The account continued their tribute: ‘I think I held my breath the whole time! I was pregnant with [my own child] at the time. Lots of love to you all.’
Victoria, his mother, also released a series of films, calling him the ‘kindest, most generous soul’ and said she loves him’more than words can convey.’
In the film, Romeo’s kid can be seen practising his football talents, signing for Brentford’s reserves, and learning how to shave.
In the video, the former England player even made room for Romeo’s girlfriend, model Mia Regan, 20, whom he has been dating since 2019.
Nicola Peltz, Brooklyn’s wife, also paid tribute to her brother-in-law on Instagram, wishing him a happy birthday and hoped his goals come true.
Tame Impala’s The Less I Know the Better, which has been a popular tune for TikTok and Instagram reels, was picked as the music for the video.
His birthday falls during the time that his older brother Brooklyn got his father’s famous buzzcut hairstyle from his days at Manchester United.
Following in his father’s footsteps, the former model, photographer, and aspiring chef debuted his new haircut during a commercial advertisement on Instagram.
