Demi Moore’s cute puppy is giving a Guinness World Record-holding canine a run for her money, and we wholeheartedly support them.
Pearl, a small chihuahua, was declared the world’s tiniest dog earlier this week after being measured against a $1 bill.
The Ghost actress, who is about to become a grandmother, was having none of it, and said her little Pilaf earned the title.
On Instagram, the 60-year-old posted a photo of herself holding a $100 bill next to her chihuahua, indicating that Pearl may have some competition.
‘@guinnessworldrecords just announced the World’s Shortest Dog today,’ she wrote. ‘I don’t know about you but I think Pilaf might give Pearl a run for her money! Should we submit @pilaf.littlemouse??’
Demi’s famous pals got in on the action, declaring their support for Pilaf in the comments below.
‘NOT THE BENJAMIN,’ her daughter, Tallulah – who she shares with ex-husband Bruce Willis – yelled, before adding: ‘You are truly a legend.’
Helena Christensen agreed: ‘But of course!’
Katie Couric proved that she was also team Pilaf, penning: ‘Yes!!! J’adore @pilaf.littlemouse.’
Jaimie Alexander simply replied: ‘Yessssss 🙌🏻🥰.’
As the official Guinness World Records account added: ‘😱😱😱.’
Miracle Milly, the former record holder, is related to the newly-crowned Pearl.
She weighs 1.22lb, measures 12.7cm in length, and stands 9.14 cm tall – making her shorter than an ice lolly stick.
Her owner, Vanesa Semler said of the pooch: ‘We’re blessed to have her, and to have this unique opportunity to break our own record and share with the world this amazing news.’
Something tells me Pearl will face fierce competition shortly…
