Denise Welch stated she was trying to deal with Europe’s increasing temperatures while sunbathing in Malta.
The 65-year-old Loose Women panellist provided an update from her vacation with her Instagram followers, admitting she was too uncomfortable to fully lay down in the blazing weather.
The presenter shined in a multi-colored one-piece bikini as she posed beneath a tree whose leaves she was attempting to use for shade.
She donned water-resistant clothing with a neon-infused palm tree motif in pink, yellow, green, orange, and blue, as well as beige-colored platform shoes to keep her feet off the scorching stones.
Along with the lovely photo, the celebrity explained why she wasn’t lying on a sun lounger on her vacation.
Denise penned a message to fans that read: ‘And before you ask…..yes I do always sunbathe perched on the edge of a small table using my husbands shirt as a tablecloth!! Who doesn’t!!!
‘Anyway there’s only time for 3 minutes a day sunbathing as it’s soooo f…..g hot!!!
‘But we’re in a beautiful boutique hotel and it’s a great excuse to do nothing but lie around, get massages, read and eat!! Bliss. The Village Hotel and Spa Naxxar @lincolntownley @the_village_hotel_and_spa @lighterlife #malta [sic].’
Fans flocked to the comments section to laud the mother of The 1975 singer Matty Healy and to complement her on her choice of attire for her tanning session.
One said: ‘Beautiful & love your swimming costume! [sic],’ while another shared: ‘U look amazing Denise [sic].’
‘Who deist sunbathe this way. Looking fab [sic],’ a separate account typed following a social media user’s words that read: ‘Looking incredible! I’m about 30 years younger and look nothing close to this how do you do it. Wow! [sic].’
Celebrity friends Carol Vorderman and Daisy May Cooper also took time out to tell the star what they thought of her Maltese photoshoot, writing: ‘Whit whoo x [sic],’ and ‘those legs! [sic],’ respectively.

Her holiday snapshot comes just one week after she paid stunning tribute to her second husband, 14-year-old Lincoln Townley.
Following her divorce from Benidorm star Tim Healy, the two married in the Algarve region of Portugal in 2013.
Next to a reel featuring pictures from their fairytale day all those years ago, she wrote: ‘Happy 10th wedding anniversary to the man who turned my life around @lincolntownley .
