Ed Sheeran is thinking about changing careers after gaining possession of Thor’s hammer.
The artist, 31, is a huge child at heart, and he was blown away by the chance to meet Thor star Chris Hemsworth and deceive him into gifting him the legendary weapon this week.
Well, we say ‘trick,’ really it was a trade-off, but as Ed himself put it, ‘I think I got the better end of the deal.’
On Friday, Shivers singer Ed posted a video to Instagram showing himself and Chris meeting up and trading tools of the trade, with Ed claiming Thor’s hammer and Chris receiving one of Ed’s guitars.
‘I’m very into swapping trade tools for trade tools, so I’m going to exchange one of my guitars for someone else’s tool,’ Ed says at the start of the video.
And then Chris comes, claiming that he is’really into trading tools’ as well.

The two then meet and exchange presents, with Chris seeming little taken aback when Ed hands him his guitar.
Which pales in comparison to Ed’s response when he was handed Chris’ ‘weapon of choice,’ Thor’s hammer.
Ed proved to be a worthy owner of the hammer, as he picked it up without hesitation and immediately began geeking out as he posed with it for the camera.
Ed joked, ‘I think we should exchange professions,’ as they signed each other’s gifts, making them even more unique.
You never know where Ed will appear on the internet these days, as he soars across the world like a superhero.

Recently, the actress featured in an Instagram video with Friends star Courteney Cox, serenading her while she sat barefoot in the grass to celebrate her company’s one-year anniversary.
In a nice gesture, the singer took a break from his mammoth globe tour to visit schools in Auckland, New Zealand, describing it as “one of my favourite days on tour.”
Ed, who has two children, surprised three separate schools in the neighbourhood by performing some of his best songs for the students.
Alongside a video montage, he wrote: ‘Spent a day surprising school kids in 3 different schools in Auckland. I had so much fun, couldn’t stop smiling all day thank you for having me ! And for the wonderful Pounamu, it was an honour.’
Following performances in Auckland, Ed travelled to Australia, where he will entertain audiences in Brisbane, Sydney, Richmond, Adelaide, and Burswood before going to Texas to begin the US portion of his tour, which will take him all the way until September 2023.
