Even Courteney Cox’s garden wouldn’t be a probable spot for Ed Sheeran to make an appearance.
The Shivers singer has a history of appearing in, shall we say, unusual places, as seen by his iconic cameo in Game of Thrones, in which he sang a song, and his surprising debut with LadBaby to secure the 2021 Christmas number one.
Now Ed and the Friends cast, including Courteney, have gathered in a garden to celebrate an achievement.
In January of 2022, the 58-year-old Cougar Town star debuted her high-end cleaning line Homecourt, which has everything from scented candles and hand wash to dish soap and surface cleansers.
This week marks Courteney’s project’s first anniversary, so the star invited a number of high-profile guests to help her mark the occasion.
Courteney can be seen sitting cross-legged and barefoot on the grass in an Instagram video as Grammy winner Ed plays an acoustic guitar and sings to her.

He belts it out to the tune of Bob Marley’s One Love: “Homecourt, one year, Courteney Cox got the product to make you clean all night.”
The camera then pulls back to reveal Courteney’s six closest family and friends, including her partner Johnny McDaid of the band Snow Patrol, all singing the line together.
In a caption accompanying the video, a proud Courteney wrote: ‘This is my favorite birthday.… just think next year I’ll be two! I’m so proud of this company and we wouldn’t be here without your support!’
Jennifer Garner, commenting on the video, told Courteney that her “kitchen and bathroom cabinets would make you so happy” if she used Courteney’s high-end cleaning goods.
In contrast to Chelsea Handler’s “very nice,” the video has been called “iconic” by viral content maker Matt Cutshall.
Courteney and Johnny, the musician, have known one other for almost a decade thanks to their mutual friend, singer Ed.
After the birth of his daughter Lyra with wife Cherry Seaborn, Ed told everyone that Johnny was chosen to be Lyra’s godfather.
Speaking on The Hits Radio Breakfast Show with Fleur East in 2021, he said of the sitcom actress: ‘I introduced her to my best mate Johnny, who I wrote Shape Of You and Bad Habits with.
‘He’s also godfather to Lyra, but yeah, I introduced them like nine years ago.
‘She just invited me round her house and I just kept going round and then one day I brought Johnny and he didn’t come home.’
This is not the first time Ed and Courteney have worked together; they have already given us a slew of Friends-related videos, including a rendition of “The Routine” and an attempt to recreate a famous Phoebe Buffay moment with the help of Sir Elton John.
