Sir Elton John has thanked the huge Worthy Farm fans for their support as he headlined Glastonbury last night.
The Rocket Man, 76, performed for the first time on the Pyramid Stage on Sunday, with hundreds flocked to see him.
Throughout his two-hour act, he couldn’t stop repeating thank you and was observed wiping away tears on multiple occasions, filled with emotion.
The Your Song music legend has now sent an emotional letter to his fans, wishing ‘farewell’ to the UK as he completes his final-ever tour before retiring.
Sir Elton took to Instagram to offer a slew of spectacular photos from last night’s show.

It comes as viewing stats indicated an unprecedented amount of people tuned in to see Sir Elton belt out his hits in the most gorgeous golden suit.
Sir Elton, being the legend that he is, actually shattered records, with seven million people watching his live performance on BBC.
According to Barb data from overnights.tv, Sir Elton attracted a near-50% audience show, becoming one of the most-watched programmes of the years so far, Deadline reported.
According to the journal, early assessments indicate that Sir Elton’s performance was likely the most-watched Glastonbury performance of all time, beating Dolly Parton’s 2014 appearance by more than 100,000 people.

Fans praised Sir Elton for giving smaller, up-and-coming musicians a platform and inviting them out as special guests, but he wasn’t alone on stage.
There was some sadness, since Britney Spears and Dua Lipa did not appear, but the four mystery guests who did appear more than made up for it.
Sir Elton was joined for fantastic duets by Jacob Lusk, Stephen Sanchez, Brandon Flowers, and Rina Sawayama, including Don’t Go Breaking My Heart and Tiny Dancer.
He also drew A-listers to the crowd, with Kate Hudson and Stella McCartney among those seen dancing in the wings.
Furthermore, Sir Elton gave a particular homage to someone who is no longer with us, dedicating Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me to the late George Michael, who would’ve celebrated his 60th birthday yesterday.
Overall, the performance was a masterclass, with fans applauding him as a “timeless” performer, a “genius,” and “one of the finest headliner performances ever” at Glastonbury.
