Postpartum is a difficult period for any new mom, yet Ferne McCann insists on being kind with herself.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star welcomed her first child with fiancé Lorri Haines, 32, in early July.
Finty, the baby girl Ferne has a second daughter, Francis Haines-McCann, with ex Arthur Collins, who has a five-year-old daughter named Sunday.
She confessed on the TV show First Time Mum that she videotaped the delivery and is eager to share it with her viewers.
Until then, the 32-year-old tweeted a heartwarming photo of her true post-baby figure, along with a declaration that this time is ‘totally different.’
Ferne shared two photos of herself posing in sporting attire, displaying her post-pregnancy tummy.
‘Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable,’ wrote the TOWIE star in an Instagram post.
She continued: ‘My experience this time round is completely different after giving birth to Sunday. My body seems to be taking longer to go back to normal (whatever that is supposed to look like!) and in the last couple of days I’ve noticed an impatience with myself.
‘You can either pick yourself apart or you can shower yourself with kindness & love. From today, I’m picking the latter! My body created & carried my baby girls so how can I insult it? ‘
Ferne said that at her “low moment,” she had been condemning her physique, noting that this is a common experience for women.
She admitted to ‘owning it all’ and tried to make good choices to rebuild herself.
‘I want to encourage and inspire anyone that would like to make some healthier changes to their life 🫶🏻,’ the mum-of-two concluded.
Her comments were filled with uplifting messages reminding her that she looked ‘beautiful’ and her body just ‘grown a human’.
‘Well I think you look beautiful ❤️ proud of you !! X,’ shared Shannon Courtenay.
Another follower wrote: ‘Our bodies are incredible, be kind to yourself you’ve grown 2 humansI relate, 2 humans, 2 c-sections, cancer twice.
’55 and a bit achy ! But doing what we can, when we can is all. You’re inspiring darling. Good luck xxx ♥️’
A third person added: ‘You look amazing despite how you feel about your body . It has done an amazing job as you say and you should be very proud of what you have and are achieving in your life 😍’
